Ms. Nan will focus on practicing and fostering ethical negotiations with other parties, whether or not those participating in the negotiations are attorneys. Using various hypothetical and real-life situations, Ms. Nan will look at how ethical behavior can lead to better, more productive outcomes and avoid higher costs down the road. She will also explore ethical aspects of negotiations and transactional practice and how to create and foster more ethical negotiations in various scenarios. Nicole Nan is a partner with Dinsmore & Shohl LLP in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ms. Nan focuses her practice on drafting and negotiating agreements governing the creation, licensing, and transfer of intellectual property as well as litigation relating to patent infringement. Ms. Nan is a certified licensing professional who has negotiated sponsored research agreements with universities and joint development agreements with companies where intellectual property concerns play a key role in the transaction. Ms. Nan has previously spoken on practicing ethical negotiations to large corporations.
