Join us for lunch on November 10, 2020 for a CincyIP CLE held by webinar. This event will be led by two attorneys at the Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio, a locally-based organization that provides free business and transactional legal services to nonprofit organizations. We will discuss how corporate and intellectual property attorneys can participate in pro bono opportunities that engage their specialized areas of practice; and how attorneys may serve on a Board. We are seeking 1.5 hours of Professionalism/Ethics CLE in Ohio.

About the Speakers:
Ms. Childs is the Executive Director of the Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio (PBPO). She is responsible for advancing the mission of PBPO and frequently lectures about nonprofit and tax-exempt organization law. Prior to joining PBPO, Ms. Childs was an attorney with Thompson Hine, LLP. Ms. Childs has been active in the Cincinnati Bar, serving on the Board of Directors of the Cincinnati Bar Association and the Board of Trustees of the Cincinnati Bar Foundation. Ms. Childs currently serves on the Nonprofit Law Committee and the Steering Committee for the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers.
Ms. Patel is the Director of Education and Senior Counsel at Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio. She educates nonprofit board members, attorneys, and executives about nonprofit-specific legal issues. Ms. Patel also provides direct legal services to nonprofit organizations and serves as a resource for in-house and law firm attorney volunteers and nonprofit clients. She is admitted to the bar in Ohio and Virginia, a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Nonprofit Law Practice Group, and a Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL) class graduate.
