Ms. Dipre, Ms. Sanker, and Mr. Kerlakian will present on in-house considerations regarding IP, data privacy, and financial crimes. They will speak on employee-created IP, strategic plans for cultivating new intellectual property, and the proper protections for the actual IP and the employee. The presentation will include a discussion of cannabis-related IP considerations and joint innovation with external companies and organizations. The presentation will then move into data privacy, discussing the general landscape of the field, challenges particular to in-house attorneys, and the implications on relationships with outside vendors. Finally, the presentation will conclude with a discussion on financial crimes, including a discussion on the changing legal landscape and specific developments concerning cannabis. We anticipate 1.0 hour of CLE credit in Ohio.
