Cheri McMaster

Cheri McMaster is the Communications Director for P&G Fabric Care.  A proven leader with over 30 years of P&G brand communications, scientific communications, and R&D experience across corporate, oral care, hair care, period care, and fabric care categories.

Cheri has proven that driving ‘earned’ and paid online and offline trusted endorsements and memorable credentials through experts, professionals, partnerships, creators, and influencers via media, editorial, social media, and WOM creates a long-term ROI for the brand.  They strengthen enduring positive brand equity, drive passionate loyalty, and important shareable advocacy.

Importantly, these “credentials” can also be targeted to address specific trial barriers effectively, communicate conversion triggers to drive purchase consideration, and even be activated to help neutralize simmering brand equity issues.

Cheri’s work across P&G’s CPG businesses has measurably increased category growth, brand awareness, consideration, and new household penetration across multiple brands and portfolios including:

  • P&G Hair Care PR and Social media leadership of Pantene, H&S, Clairol, Herbal Essences, Aussie.
  • P&G Global Olympic Thank You Mom scaled-brand PR and social campaign including on-site Olympic communications PR activations during the Olympic Games (Vancouver 2010, Rio 2016, and PyeongChang 2018).
  • Over the past five years, tackled the declining tampon category and reversed years of decreasing consumption by growing acceptance among new Multicultural Alpha and Z Gens.
    • Led the #TimeToTampax campaign development, celebrity and influencer strategy, narrative, earned content creation, and PR launch of brand ambassador Amy Schumer, and later #BetterWaytoPeriod Marsai Martin, Angel Reese, Flau’jae Johnson
  • Recently brought into step-change NA Fabric Care (Tide, Gain, Bounce, Downy) social media innovation (#CleanTok), channel, and content effectiveness.

Jamie’s diverse experience uniquely positions him to offer insightful perspectives on the college athletics landscape. As a former Ohio State Football athlete, compliance professional, sport administrator, and NIL practitioner, he has operated at the highest levels at both Ohio State and Texas A&M. These multifaceted experiences enable Jamie to craft forward-thinking solutions tailored to today’s complex athletics environment.
